Robert F. Loughran is Managing Shareholder of Tindall & Foster, P.C.’s Austin office. Mr. Loughran received his undergraduate degree from the University of Texas and his law degree from South Texas College of Law in Houston. Mr. Loughran’s mother immigrated to the United States from Chile in 1959.He is fluent in Spanish and has studied international and comparative law in Concepción, Chile, and Madrid, Spain.

He is Board Certified in Immigration and Nationality Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, Vice-Chairman of the State Bar Committee on Laws Relating to Immigration and Nationality, is the Liaison between the American Immigration Lawyers Association and the San Antonio District Office of the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service, Customs and Border Protection, and Immigration and Customs Enforcement, and is a member of the College of the State Bar of Texas. Mr. Loughran has been admitted to the State Bar of Texas, the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit. In 2004 and 2005, Texas Monthly recognized Mr. Loughran as a Texas Super Lawyer. His practice is concentrated in the areas of corporate immigration, emigration to third countries, and related international law. Mr. Loughran heads the Emigration and Employer Sanctions practice areas of the firm, has written articles on Maintenance of Status, the competitive advantage of Mexican maquiladoras, and the United States' reliance on foreign technical brainpower. He presents frequently before legal, professional, and academic organizations on the topics of U.S. and foreign work authorization, employer sanctions, maintenance of status, and changes in government proceedings.
