Bernstein, Jeffrey

Jeff Bernstein was elected as AmCham Shanghai Chairman for both 2005 and 2006. He is founder and Managing Director of Emerge Logistics. Emerge is a supply chain specialist operating bonded distribution centers in China since 1999. Prior to starting Emerge Logistics, Jeff co-managed a logistics business in Shanghai. Preceding his experience as a logistics operator, Jeff was a consultant with McKinsey & Co. in the U.S., Korea, and China, focusing on distribution, retail, and energy over a span of five years.

A graduate of Wharton, Jeff serves on the Board of the Wharton Club of Shanghai. He has been closely involved with the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai since first serving on the Board of Governors from 2001 to 2003. He also chaired the Chamber's Logistics & Transportation Committee in 2000. Jeff speaks fluent Mandarin Chinese, and has been based in China since 1994.
