Neidel, Betsy

Betsy Neidel has been the Managing Director of Blue Heron International since 2005. She has served public and private companies, from small businesses to Fortune 500 leaders, for twenty years. Prior to founding Blue Heron International, Neidel held roles of Six Sigma Black Belt Consultant, Product Quality Engineer, and China Market Manager at Dell, Inc. She served as Product Manager and China Deputy General Manager for Commercial Metals Company and as Industrial Market Specialist for Asian Sources Media Group in Hong Kong and Taiwan.

Neidel has a bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA in International Management from Thunderbird. She has lived and worked in Greater China for nearly a decade and is a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese.

Neidel is a Certified Six Sigma Black Belt, a senior member of the American Society for Quality, and is an adjunct professor at St. Edward’s University in Austin, where she teaches a class on “Doing Business in China”.
